" ' I nm McNEILL Vernal, captured fifth place all-around cowgi, toilers in the National intercollegiate Rodeo Finals last month Lori McNeill nab fifth in nationals Vernal's Lori McNeill captured fifth place in the all-around in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Finals in Lake Charles, Louisiana, June 18-23. She also placed sixth in the nation in breakaway roping. Times of 3.90 and 4.68 qualified her for the finals. She also competed in the barrel race and goat tying. Tracy Durfee, a former resident of Vernal, who lives in Richfield, also competed in the nationals. Both girls are members of the rodeo team at Utah State University in Logan. The Utah State University girls' team, Lori McNeill, Tracy Durfe Lori Miller of Las Vegas, Ne-captured Ne-captured first place in the I Mountain region.
