Show Police blotter Two people were arrested June 15 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and Daranhnalia. The pair, Joseph Lester Clement, 23 and Sandra Lee Provost both of Hartford, Hart-ford, Conneticut were stopped on a routine traffic investigation. Clements was charged with not possessing a drivers license or vehicle registration. The vehicle was impounded. The pair pled guilty in Seventh District Circuit Court. They were fined and released. A Vernal man was charged with fradulant use of a credit card following investigation by Detective Mel Curtis. Michael Guy Smith, 23, was incarcerated in-carcerated in the Uintah County Jail following the arrest. Bond was set at $2,500. Two cases of criminal mischief were reported, one for $600 and the other for $90. Several theft cases were reported, one at Showalter Motor for $60; Vernal Family Health Center where $1200 worth of cash and dictaphone equip- , ment were reported taken. There was no forceable entry; Steve Regan Co., forceable entry through a door, $50 taken; U.S. Forest Service, safe pryed open, undetermined amount of cash taken: Uintah High School shop, forced entry through a broken door, $2000 worth of tools were reported missing. A house burglary which occured June 3 was solved with the arrest of Dennis Mark Ellington, 22, of Vernal. He was incarcerated in the Uintah County Jail ' in lieu of $10,000 bail. He has been released on bail. The investigation was under the direction of Robert Downard assisted by Detective Darrell Lance and Detective Mel Curtis. Several arrests were made for DUI 6-22, 6-22, David George Mollner, 29; 6-23, Steve Owen Smuin, 32; 6-24, Jack Anderson, Jr., 31; Jerry L. Mecham, 31. The fine for driving under the influence in-fluence of intoxicating liquors can carry a fine up to $300 with the possible revocation of drivers license if the person is found guilty. One case of lewdness was reported to the Vernal City Police on June 29. An , unknown person was observed streaking by the Coca-Cola plant on North Vernal Avenue by employees at the Coke plant and a sewer line construction flagman. A rape case was also reported June 28.
