Show Linus Openshaw host Rock Island Illinois couple A family home evening honoring Bob and Betty VanWychen of Rock Island, Illinois was held at the Linus Openshaw home Monday evening of last week. Forty-three family members were present. pre-sent. Naples 2nd Ward held a ward party Wednesday evening of last week at the ward farm. Supper, games and a program pro-gram were the event on the agenda. The Bryon Goodrich family reunion was held Friday and Saturday at Roosevelt. Arlo and Mable Goodrich and the Lowe and Reah Goodrich families attended. Elva and Loa Kay Bowthorpe took Clark Goodrich to Salt Lake Friday where Mr. Goodrich received medical attention. Karla Merrell of Salt Lake City spent the weekend with her parents, the Grant Merrells and family. The Fuller Merrell family reunion was held Friday. Sheila Lind entertained a group of young people Tuesday evening of last week in honor of her son, Andy, on his birthday. Shirley and Afton Price and Marydith White went to Salt Lake City, Tuesday where they went through the LDS Temple Tem-ple with Elaine Winn. Others who accompanied ac-companied Mrs. Winn were Mary W. Eaton, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene McLean and Glenda McDowell. While the Prices were at the Temple they saw and visited with former ward members, DeMar and Pauline Duvall of Moses Lake, Washington, who had a daughter married that day and also with Doris Blizzard of Arvada, Colorado. Billy Clemons of Sacramento, CA and Shelda Dolan of Fruita, Colorado, visited the Frank Novingers last week. Columbine Will of Valdex, Alaska left Thursday for Oregon to visit her mother. She has been visiting the Ashel Manwarings and other friends in the ward for the past ten days. Sherron and Donnieta Jackson have a new grandson born June 28 to Mr. and Mrs. Hal Jackson, weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces. He will be named Heath Duane. |
