Show Flaming Gorge campgrounds are now all open The road to Spirit Lake campground , is finally free of snow, according to the ! Ashley National Forest. All . campgrounds cam-pgrounds are now open in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. According to the Flaming Gorge weekly recreation report, Flaming Gorge Reservoir is now at 6013 feet and ; still rising about 3 inches a day. Streams in the Flaming Gorge Recreation Area are low and clear and should be providing some excellent stream fishing, according to the report. The afternoon flows on the Green River have been around 3000 cfs providing the best rafting experience. All roads are now open and in good condition. Most trails are now clear of snow. The Leona Creek and Scraper Springs trails have been maintained. The YCC trail crew will be starting on the Elk Park trail, said Flaming Gorge officials. A few evening programs are being presented in The Flaming Gorge area, more will be added as the summer progresses. |
