Several traffic accidents mar week Approximately $7,920 in damages and minor injuries have been reported in several accidents investigated by the Vernal City Police since Tuesday of last week. No citations were issued the drivers of the vehicles, Kathleen Gray and Hank Peltier. Approximately $2,000 damage was sustained to the vehicles. Another accident investigated at 100 South and 500 West caused an estimated $1,700 damage. June 26 on Main Street and 10 West a vehicle driven by Joleen Duncan ran a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by John Young Kent causing an estimated $1,600 damage. Kent was taken to the hospital where he was treated for bruises and abraisions and released. Duncan was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign. No citations were issued in an accident ac-cident on Main Street and 900 West. A portion of US 40 was not barricaded off and a vehicle turning west on US 40 struck a west bound vehicle which came through the unbarricaded portion of Main Street, $2,700 in damages were sustained to the vehicles. A hit and run accident was investigated in-vestigated June 30 on 500 North and 500 West. An unknown vehicle struck a traffic sign and left the scene. A minor accident was investigated which resulted in $420 damage to the vehicles with no injuries.
