Show BLM firewood goes on sale The Bureau of Land Management proposes two firewood sales totaling 214 cords of firewood from fire killed trees in the Bookcliff Mountains. They will be sold on a competitive bid basis. The trees are juniper, pinyon pine and douglas-fir, standing and down. Two areas in the McCook Ridge Burn Commercial Firewood Sale Area are being offered for bids. They are located on McCook Ridge approximately 90 road miles south of Vernal. The sale will be on Wednesday, July 18, 10 a.m. at the Bureau of Land Management office in Vernal, Utah (170 South 500 East). Each area will be sold on a sealed bid, lump sum basis. Appraised value and minimum bid ler cord for either sale is $2.00. Sealed bids will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. July 18. Payment in full for the sale must be made within seven days after the opening of the bids. |
