Show $1 5,000 goal set for annual Scout breakfast A goal of $15,000 has been set to be raised this year to support the Boy Scouts of America activities in the Ashley valley and the traditional Boy Scout breakfast is the vehicle Scouting officials hope will bring in the funds. According to Dr. Dan Price, breakfast break-fast chairman for this year's 24th of July celebration in Vernal, committees have been formed and plans are moving along for the annual event. The breakfast this year will be held at the Vernal Baseball complex starting at 6 a.m. July 24, with serving continuing con-tinuing until 8 a.m. All proceeds from the breakfast will be used to support Scouting in the valley. Dr. Price said that a committee of seven men will be helping with the planning and details of the breakfast this year. They include Cal Dee Reynolds, Greg Bishop, Don Carpenter, Milt Billings, Ivan Hall, Dale Ross, Arnie Anton and Brent Feltch. "We would like everyone in the valley and our tourist friends to join us on the morning of the 24th for breakfast," said Dr. Price. "We can guarantee them all they can eat in the way of pancakes, eggs and sausage and no-one will go away hungry," he added. Besides the Breakfast Committee, numerous ward coordinators are working out the details of the breakfast and Dr. Price expressed appreciation for the support of the ward coordinators. |
