CO-OP, a store razed about 14 months ago, will build a new shopping shopp-ing center ushering in what city officials hope will be a new era of business renewal and revitalization. "I know this feels like deja-voodoo deja-voodoo or whatever, but I think iredging up this CO-OP thing gives Qew meaning to the term urban renewal and shows Bountiful is willing to give businesses a second chance' said one city official, who wanted to remain nameless and blameless. Bountiful' s Redevelopment Agency already had received bids from Landforms Development and the U.S. Postal Service for a new post office. A decision by the RDA board on the bids was tabled until April 15. So the RDA's announcement announce-ment of the new CO-OP caught Landform, postal officials and city residents by surprise.
