Show I I I V.V. Elem. pair win first at History Fair David Geurts and Mike Jenson recently were awarded first place in the project board category at the regional competition of the Utah History Fair held Monday, March 16, at Weber State University. This was in the elementary division, divi-sion, grades 4-6, and they will compete com-pete again at the State History Fair held at BYU on April 6. The theme of their project board was "Television: Then and Now" which also included a video of their interviews with Pam Famsworth, widow of Philo T. Famsworth, "The Father of Television" as well as Arch L. Madsen, president emeritus of Bonneville International Interna-tional Corporation. They also showed television footage of Desert Storm, the Kennedy assassination and the Winter Olympics. There were seven elementary schools representing this region and 14 judges in this category. . Mike and David are fourth grade students in Mrs. Laura Mortensen's satellite class at Valley View Elementary. David is the son of Steven and Peggy Geurts, Bountiful. Boun-tiful.
