Show Rep. Lyon announces her candidacy for re-election enhance Utah's business climate. She also co-sponsored legislation equalizing capital outlay among Rep. Nancy S. Lyon, R-Bountiful, R-Bountiful, has announced her candidacy can-didacy for re-election to the Utah House of Representatives from District 20 which includes North Salt Lake and Bountiful and adjacent adja-cent unincorporated areas south of 1800 South. Rep. Lyon has served two terms in the House of Representatives. Appointed to serve on the Legislative Redisricting Committee, Com-mittee, Rep. Lyon was instrumental in redrawing legislative district lines in Davis County to respect municipal boundaries and communities com-munities of interest. Lyon has served as co-chair of the Davis County Legislative caucus and as vice chair of the State and Local Affairs Committee. She also serves on the Education Committee Com-mittee and Community and Economic Development Appropriations Appropria-tions Committee. During the past legislative session. ses-sion. Rep. Lyon successfully sponsored spon-sored the Revised Business Corporation Cor-poration Act which will greatly school districts, a measure of critical importance to Davis County schools. 'Utah continues to face great challenges as we work to balance the needs of public and higher education, edu-cation, human services, and other services vital to the public well being be-ing with the resources available. Though the challenges are great, opportunities continue to present themselves because of our planning and foresight. ' We must continue to be fiscally responsible, continue to energize our economic development efforts so that Utah's economy and tax base will grow to support our growing grow-ing population." Rep. Lyon is married to C. Joseph Lyon. They are the parents of five children. Rep. Lyon is the executive director of the Davis District Foundation. She also serves on several boards of trustees including in-cluding the Utah Public Education Foundation, the Performing Arts Coalition, and the Salt Lake Olympic Olym-pic Games Advisory Committee. j REP.
