Show W Rematch of 1991 3 A title game I Braves, Wildcats prepare for battle By DIRK FACER I Sports Editor While the boys soccer season JSy still be young, Tuesday night's flwdown between unbeaten Boun-Tlful Boun-Tlful and Woods Cross promises to be anything but dull. The two rivals, meeting for the first time since the 3A state championship game last May at Clearfield, will square off under the Curtis Field lights at 7 p.m. "We look forward to playing Woods Cross," said Bountiful coach Dave Wigham. "We have a lot respect for them and we expect a good game. Playing them lets you know just where you stand. ' The Braves, who defeated the Wildcats for their second- consecutive state championship last spring, return eight key performers from a year ago and have already racked up wins over Murray, Judge and Tooele this season. Bountiful has scored eight goals while limiting the opposition to just a single goal. On Friday, the Braves defeated Tooele 2-0 with John Hartey and Sean Bromley each scoring goals. Despite the win, Bountiful s coach was hoping for a wider margin of victory. "We missed too many opportunities. oppor-tunities. We played OK, we just didn't finish," said Wigham. 4'The effort was there and I was pleased with the win."
