Howard Williams, state road engineer,met with the committee. Mr. Elmer was elected chairman of the committee during the meeting. meet-ing. Other officers are: Lewis Wright, Boxelder, vice chairman; Ray P. Greenwood, Salt Lake county, secretary; Guy E. Coleman, Cole-man, Wasatch, and Dr. S. B. Rig-by, Rig-by, Sanpete, committee board members. "B" Road Funds For County Decreased Utah county's portion of the state "B" road funds will be approximately ap-proximately $50,000 for this year, which is $22,000 less than the county's share for 1949. Commissioner J. Clark Elmer said today that the lesser figure this year is not due to any cutback cut-back in fund allowance. He explained ex-plained that in 1949 the unused funds of the former state department depart-ment of publicity and industrial development were added to the road fund. "B and C" road funds are those derived in the state through the sale of automobile license plates. The "B" fund is set aside for use of counties and the "C" fund for city roads.
