Show Steel Lockers To Be Purchased for. Local High School Bids for purchase of steel lockers lock-ers for the Springville high school under plans and specifications of Claude S. Ashworth, architect, were considered at the Nebo school district board of education when they met in Spanish Fork last week. The meeting was under the direction of Supt. Wallace W. Brockbank, appointed recently to succeed Owen L. Barnett. The bid for lockers received from Rex O. Williams for $1,073 which specified all steel lockers was chosen in preference to the bid of Cobusco Steel Products of $1065 for a wire basket type. Quotations for the furnishing of meat for school lunches for March, April and May were awarded to the- lowest bidder from each town. Mrs. Mary Frandsen of Springville Spring-ville was authorized to substitute for Mrs. Hazel Bowen, during her six-week tour of Europe. She is on leave of absence from the Spanish Span-ish Fork Rees school. Mrs. Cecil Robertson of this city was also authorized to replace re-place Mrs. Donna M. Hall in the Brookside Second grade for the remainder re-mainder of the school year. During the meeting Ben Isaac, clerk, read a letter which had been mailed to all teachers in the district, dis-trict, inviting them and the general gen-eral public to an entertainment honoring Mr. and Mrs. Barnett to be held in the Spanish Fork high school on Friday, April 7. |
