A Grant Clyde To Direct 3-Act Playhouse Play Grant Clyde, prominent student stu-dent of the BYTJ dramatic department depart-ment has been named to direct the annual 3-act play of the Springville Spring-ville Playhouse, announced Wood-row Wood-row Weight, president of the organization. or-ganization. Mr. Clyde and the Playhouse play-reading committee are checking over a number of outstanding plays and will pick one of the plays to be presented the fore part of June. At a board meeting of the theatre thea-tre group Tuesday night at the home of Mrs. Merle Schreiner, the group selected Verl Weight to act as chairman of the nominating committee with Mary Verl May-cock May-cock and Cecil Robertson as members. mem-bers. This committee will select and present prospective candidates candida-tes for board members for the coming year to the Playhouse membership at a special program and meeting early in May. Four new board members will be elected elec-ted for a two-year term. In commemoration of Spring- ville's Centennial, the Playhouse is ' also planning an outstanding production pro-duction for September. Other ac-: ac-: tivities are also contemplated during dur-ing the season. v |
