Show City To Re-Grade and Sod City Ball Park In Near Future From present indications, it looks as if Spring-ville Spring-ville may have a ball diamond after all. According to citv officials and A. L. Thorpe, who has been working with a citizens 4 committee to promote the ball park development, work will begin be-gin in the near future on- the park. It is planned to re-grade the park, level it off and then sod or plant at least half the area so that it will be in top shape for use next year. The other half of the park will be left available for this year's city recreation Softball and baseball programs, it was pointed out. In the fall, it is planned to seed the remainder of the area. Other landscape details on the park will be worked out over a long range period. The planting and sodding of the ball park will be a great improvement improve-ment in that section, especially since that area will be more widely used with new homes and the large stake house surrounding it. Sport fans and spectators will be able to enjoy the recreational area without wading through dust and unsightly weeds. There is a definite defi-nite possibility that later, the park can be used for night football or other entertainment. |
