Show Bird, Fur Farms Illegal Without Game Dept. Permits The records of the State Game Department reveal that there are several hundred private pheasant farms operating within the state and there are also numerous fur farms operating. State law requires re-quires that a careful check be made of the activities of institutions institu-tions of this kind, and the number one requirement is that they be given permission to operate fur farms, pheasant farms and private pri-vate fish fatcheries. The law makes it mandatory that after the first of each year a new permit be taken out. The fee is nominal. To date very few of the fur raisers, pheasant breeders, or fishermen have applied for permits. per-mits. On and after April 1 it will be necessary to refer this situation situa-tion to the Law Enforcement Division Di-vision of the Fish and Game Department De-partment for all individuals who have not complied with the law.
