Show Community Church Scout Hews... The Girl Scouts will continue their cookie sale to raise funds for the summer camp through two weeks, it was announced by leaders lead-ers today. Cub Scouts The Rev. Mr. Erwin of Provo representing the National Parks Council, Boy Scouts, presented the charter to the Cub Scouts at the monthly pack meeting conducted last Friday evening, at the local community Presbyterian Church. Ernest Lyon received the Charter in behalf of the group. John Carver, Car-ver, Cub Master, was in charge. Mr. Carver introduced Earl Moss, sponsoring institution representative. repre-sentative. Wilford Manwaring, Scout Commissioner of Kolob district, dis-trict, presented a blue ribbon and certificate to the Cubs for their window display in observance of national Scout Week. Fred L. Fish of American Fork, who assisted as-sisted in organizing the Cub Scouts , was in attendance and spoke briefly. brief-ly. Bob-Cat Scouts who received their membership cards during the evening included : Richard Gardner, Gard-ner, Warren Child, Palmer Holt, Bernell Loveridge, DeWayne Lunceford, Frank Mitchell, Allan Roylance and James Weight. The boys presented an interesting interest-ing program featuring the Indian theme which they have been taking tak-ing up. Several novel skits displaying dis-playing Indian headpieces and other attire delighted the audience. Den 1, was in charge of Mrs. Harold Poulsen; Den 2, Mrs. Howard How-ard Willis; Den 4 and 5, Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Parker and Mrs. Dick Wether-all. |
