Show LAKERS EDGE NUGGETS Jamall W'ilkes completed com-pleted a three-point play with 27 seconds left Sunday to rally the Los Angeles Lakers to a 132-131 132-131 National Basketball Association victory over the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets held a 131-127 131-127 lead with 1:55 to go on a basket by Alex English, the game's high scorer with 34 points. But the Lakers' Michael Cooper hit two free throws 13 seconds later to shave the Denver lead to two points. After a Denver turnover, tur-nover, Wilkes scored on a rebound, was fouled by English and added the critical free throw. It was LA's first lead since the 10 minute mark of the final period. The Nuggets' final chance faded when Wilkes stole the ball from Kiki Vandeweghe, allowing the Lakers to run out the clock. Lakers Coach Pat Riley said that Denver is one of the most difficult . teams in the NBA to prepare for because of its accurate shooters and good one-on-one players. Gus Williams scored 34 points including two free throws with three seconds left as Seattle edged Boston, 103-100. Boston, which trailed 63-43 at halftime, took a 100-99 lead with 39 seconds left when Robert Parish scored on a dunk. Parish scored 21 of his 34 points in the second half. With 21 seconds left, Parish fouled Seattle's Jack Sikma, who sank both free throws. Williams made it 103-100 with two foul shots Boston's Coach Bill Fitch inserted Danny Ainge, BYU graduate, after William's free throws and their reserve guard rimmed a 40 footer at the buzzer.
