Show SPRING QUARTER AT UBAVC Spring Quarter plans are underway at the Uintah Uin-tah Basin Area Vocational Voca-tional Center in Roosevelt where several classes and seminars are planned. plann-ed. In the Trades and Industry In-dustry Program there will be evening classes offered of-fered in welding, diescl mechanics, 1 auto mechanics, electrical and plumbing apprenticeship. The petroleum evening and day classes will include: in-clude: production facilities, petroleum chemistry, alternate fuels and basic refining processes. The daytime program is available from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. for students interested. The business department depart-ment will also offer a variety of classes in the daytime as well as evening even-ing program. Office occupations oc-cupations and manage- ment classes include: accounting, ac-counting, typewriting, shorthand, office machines, office procedures, pro-cedures, communications, communica-tions, math, and basic skills. A small business operations class will be taught Wednesday evenings even-ings by Bruce Weatherston. The course will cover the principles and techniques of managing manag-ing an existing small business operation. Dennis Den-nis Garner will teach a class in basic computers on Tuesday and Wednesday Wednes-day evenings. Other special offerings during spring quarter include in-clude a series of seminars to cover areas such as: personal financial planning; plann-ing; parenting skills, ratio analysis for small businesses, family counseling, letter writing, introduction to drilling fluids, brush-up grammer review, building psychological strengths, effective decision making and custodial maintenance. A Farm Fair is scheduled schedul-ed on March 16 from 12-6 p.m. This event will include in-clude 16 mini-seminars on agricultural and ranching areas. Other events include in-clude live entertainment, displays of farm equipment equip-ment and services as well as a guest lecture by Doyle Mathews, Dean of the College of Agriculture at Utah State University.
