Show Justice of the peace Dear Editor: Let's hand out a short paragraph of praise for the Justice of the Peace for East Uintah County. Where can the county get better and cheaper service, for about $27,000 a year they get his service, ser-vice, rent a office and hire a secretary. This is noteworthy, especially when they are paying $96,000 for the County Attorney's services. This is exemplary when one notes that Mr. Feltch maintains main-tains an office in Vernal City when the code states that a Justice of the Peace can't hold office in a City served by the Circuit Court. Further it states that the Justice of the Peace is to hold court in the Precinct he serves. The fine technicalities of the law do not bother Mr. Feltch. He has been exemplary to win the praises of almost every law enforcement en-forcement officer. If he has any doubts about the law, he can quickly resolve them by contacting the County Attorney. At-torney. He has a fine sense of values. He can quickly size some one up and determine the proper bail to set. If they desire a trial, he does not go through the long delay for witnesses, etc., he merely mere-ly hears the facts and determines the fine. The technicalities of the law does not bother him, he merely decides the case and forgets the law books. We just don't need an attorney or judge to hear our case when we have one with the Counties finances at heart like Brent Feltch. So why don't we hand him an award? a plaque, stating, "I am the law"?
