Show KBYU-TV count translator stalled by FCC A letter was received from the Federal Communications Commission last week stating that Uintah County had not properly filed a permit authorizing a translator for television Channel 11 KBYU on Blue Mountain at 49 UHF, according to Joe LeBeau, county television technician. According to LeBeau, applications were sent to the FCC for both Channel 20 KSTU and Channel 11 KBYU at the same time in March of 1981. The Channel Chan-nel 20 application was approved and now the Channel 11 has been stalled because of some kind of a mixup, says LeBeau. Translator equipment is in place for Channel 11 on Blue Mountain waiting for FCC approval, LeBeau said, and it should have been approved with Channel Chan-nel 20. LeBeau also reported that the Tridell and Lapoint area is now getting good reception on Channel 20 from the Blue Mountain translator on 55 UHF. |
