Show FRANK WILLIAM SHAW LEHI Frank Williams Shaw, 39, died Thursday, Jan. 17 at 2:30 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of complications following an influenza illness. He was bead of the Lehi High School music department. He was born in Ogden May 24, 1912, a son of David M,. and Gwendolyn Williams Shaw. He was married to Naomi ITalliday. I of American Fork, in the Salt Lake " Temple, Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. June 16, 1937. After attending Weber College he was graduated from Brigham Young University in 1938 with a major In music. He played string bass two and a half years with the Utah Symphony. He taught for four years at the Roosevelt High School, and came to Lehi as head of Lehi High School music department in 1942. He was a member of the Lehi Lions Club. In Lehi, his orchestra, band and glee club rated high in district dis-trict and state music contests. He was known as a creative director. di-rector. He was also director of Chantante Ladies' Chorus, known throughout central Utah. He helped stage the annuil Christmas sing here recently. He was a member of National Education Assn., Utah Education Assn. and Alpine Teachers' Assn. Surviving are his oarents, Og den; his widow, two children Barbara and Frank Shaw Jr.; three brothers, David G Shaw San Mateo, Calif.; Edwin Shaw Ogden, and Richard Shaw, Logan. Log-an. Funeral services for Glen Mc-Murdock. Mc-Murdock. 49, Fort Duchesne, were held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Ballard LDS Ward Chapel, Chap-el, with Bishop Ashel Perry, of the Moffat Ward, conducting Opening prayer was offered by Christopher W. Bodily, former form-er bishop and Indian missionary. Musical numbers were sung, by the Moffat Ward chorus, consisting-, of Marion and Glenda Gardner, Gard-ner, Lorena Iorg, Norma Denver, Den-ver, Jean Jensen and Afton Bodily, Bod-ily, accompanied by Dorothy Bodily. A vocal duet was sung by Earl Gardner and Lorena Iorg, with selections also given by a chorus of nieces and nephews. Speakers were Paul Nelson, a boyhood friend, and Albert Harris, both members of the Roosevelt LDS Stake high council. coun-cil. Closing prayer was given by Ferris Murdock, and Alma Mur-dock Mur-dock dedicated the grave in the Ft. Duchesne cemetery, where burial took place under direction of Dillman Mortuary. Pallbearers were Arthur, Alma. Al-ma. Oscar and Ferris Murdock, Art Allen and Curtis Bastain. JENNIE GLINES Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Jen-nie Glines, of Salt Lake City, formerly of Neola, were held last Thursday and attended by several relatives from Neola ancl Roosevelt. Mrs. Glines, 39, died of a heart ailment and is survived sur-vived by her husband, Roland Glines, and three cHildren, Wel-den, Wel-den, 21; Elsie, 18; and Billy, 14. Attending the services from 5oosevelt were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Labrum, Mrs. Roy Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Anderson, Mrs. Lela Labrum, Mrs. Alice Labrum, Ed Labrum, Clem Labrum, Lab-rum, and Mrs. Lloyd Labrum. From Neola were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crazier and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Davis. |
