Show Political Meets Planned By County Democrats According to Bennie Schmiett, chairman of the Duchesne County Coun-ty Democratic central committee, plans are being formulatetl for ' the holding of party political meetings within the county during dur-ing the next few months. In addition ad-dition to the county convention conven-tion at which time delegates to the state meet will be named, "grass root" sessions will be planned in the homes of those interested in politics throughout the county. "With this a political year when a Democracy will choose a president, and Utah will select a senator and two congressmen, interest in politics should mount, and it should be the desire of the leaders of the major parties to stimulate the people in general gen-eral in politics," Mr. Schmiett said. This he gave as the reason such home meetings are being advocated to give people a chance to learn about the issues that make America and should keep her strong. Small grooup meetings will be held. According to information received re-ceived by Mr. Schmiett from state Democratic leaders, all precinct meetings should be held by March 1st. |
