Show Eighty-Four Enter Service Since September Of 1050 Eighty-four young men from Duchesne County have been m ducted into the armed forces since Sept , 1950, at which time the new Selective Service Act tiecame ' effective, reports Mrs Patience Larsen, local board clerk. Also, 63 enlistment credits have been allowed the local board, thus reducing the number of induction calls that would have been necessary for the lo cal draft board to make in order to fill the quota for men, which quota is set by state and national nation-al Selective Service officials. SIX ENLISTMENTS During December, 1951, the local Selective Service board received credit for six enlistments enlist-ments from Duchesne Count. Enlistees are: Leslie John Herbert, Her-bert, Myton, Navy; Melvin Jessie Jes-sie Larsen, Roosevelt, Navy; Val Ray Anderton, Roosevelt. Air Force; Billy Ray Boren, Roosevelt, Roose-velt, Air Force; Max Jay Moore Lawson, Roosevelt, Air Fo'ce; Richard Melvin Pierson, Roosevelt, Roose-velt, Air Force. One In January One enlistment for January, i so far, is Neil Fa'orizlo, of Han-na. Han-na. Nine Lefl Monday Nine young men left Duchesne Monday morning to be inducted into the armed forces. They are: Colburn Steve Hamilton, Ham-ilton, Myton; Edward M. Curry, Hanna; Irvin Kay Hadden, Myton; My-ton; Melvin Claud Bird, Bluebell; Blue-bell; Bobby Bancroft, Duchesne; Ray Arthur Rogers, Mt. Emmons; Em-mons; Loren Dale Goodrich, Bluebell; David Alonzo Farns-worth, Farns-worth, Talmage; DeLor Linford Maxfield, Altonah.
