Show January DUP Meeting Is Held The DUP held their meeting for January, Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the -home of Mrs. LaRue Fisher. The'' lesson was "Early Mining in Utah." A DUP: pin was presented to Mrs. LaRtic Fisher arid Mrs. Twila Ralph?, as outgoing1 - officers. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to the following follow-ing members: Mrs. Margaret Maxfield, Mrs. Mary Carroll, Mrs. Francis Allred, Mrs. Mary Riley, Mrs.,; Marion Reece, Mrs. Lola Jones, Mrs. Twila Ralphs, Mrs. Inez Ames and the hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Berrett, of Rangely, Colo., spent the week end with Mrs. Berrett's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Allred, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Clark and Mrs. Mary Carroll made a business trip to Vernal, Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Tuesday night a group of Mutual members put on a skit, "Meet Me at Mutual," in Unal-co. Unal-co. Bluebell, Mt. Emmons and Altonah. It was under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Margaret Maxfield Max-field and those taking part were Charley Allred, Perry Maxfield, Sherral Ames and Mrs. Margaret Margar-et Maxfield. Dean Reay and Ty Kolb are helping to install bleachers in the Altamont gym for the basketball bas-ketball games. Mr. and Mrs. Linford Max-I Max-I field received word from their son, Delar, who went into' the services January 14th, that he was assigned for duty in the Marine, corps and was leaving Salt Lake City on the 15th for San Diego, where he will be stationed for the present. - Mrs. Albert Clark was taken to Vernal for medical care, Mon-. day. Later she was taken to a Salt 'Lake hospital for further, treatment. The cause is yet unknown. un-known.
