Show New Leaders . Annual Election Of C. C. Officers Set Directors of the Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce met at the Frontier Grill last Friday evening to plan the annual election elec-tion of five new directors, t. i .o will be named to serve during the next three years, and to set the date for the installation of officers early in February. At the meeting, Bennie Schmictt was officially installed at a 2-year 2-year director, having been named to replace J. V. McLea, resigned. Allowing names to appear on the.- ballot that will be circulated to the membership this weekend: Gordon Harmston, M a r r e 1 1 Wilkins, Floyd Labrum, Kenneth Aycock, Dick Owen, Bruce Fitzgerald, Fitz-gerald, Axel Birch, Lynn Labrum, Lab-rum, Lawrence Pack, Leo Hanson, Han-son, Victor Brown, Clem Labrum, Lab-rum, George Hacking, Merlin Sullivan, Cliff Rockwood. Rae Scholes, Clair Larson, Robert Huish. Marvel Nielson and Wil-ford Wil-ford Robinson. Immediately following the selection se-lection of the five directors, they with the other 10, will serve the next two and one year terms, will meet to eleot a president, pres-ident, vice-president, corporate secretary and two members of the executive committee. Thomas Thom-as Gabbert, president, will preside pre-side over the meeting until his successor is named by the group. The by-laws specify that a president pres-ident can not succeed himself in office. This meeting will be held next Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Frontier Grill at 6 p.m. with Mr. Gabbert presiding. Gus P. Backman, executive secretary of the Salt Laki: Chamber of Commerce, will be the featured speaker. He has already accepted the invitation, providing the date of the meeting meet-ing does not conflict with prior engagements. Invitations will be extended to Vernal and Price to have representation at the meeting each of these groups have been very helpful in assisting as-sisting Roosevelt to become organized. or-ganized. Tentative date has been set for Feb. 9 for the installation meeting. |
