Show Crimps Honored During chapel hour at the B. Y. 0. yesterday the "Crimson," basketball champions of the state, and now' Rocky mountain "champions, were made to feel like they were "It." The A particular feature was the presenta- V tlon of a magnificent six-foot pennant to Coach Badenoch and each of the seven members of tho team. These pennants bore tho words, "B. Y. Col-lege, Col-lege, Utah State Champions, 1008," and were presented by Howell Bros., Luther Howell doing tho orating on this occasion. Needless to say the boys were -immensely pleased. Quite a little program wasrennered. Following music by the choir and prayer by Professor Vernon, Miss Edna Daniels rendered a very beautiful beauti-ful solo. Then Mr. Howell, In a very glowing eulogy presented the pennants, pen-nants, after which Coach Badenoch replied and gave a short account of the eastern trip. The manager of tho Chicago Symphony Orchestra, a visitor, visit-or, wns cal'cd on at this time and made a very excellent address on "higher education." Rawl Ins and Young were presented with B. Y. C. sweaters. The students cheered at every opportunity and throughout the hour the welkin tang. |
