Equipment sheds, -i like this, are being produced by members of the Carpentry Class at Cedar High School as part of "..a program designed to. give .them;. practical experience in fundamentals of construction. Carpentry Class at CHS construct Sh eds Students of the Cedar High School Carpentry Class are . presently engaged in construction con-struction equipment sheds. It is part of a program designed to give them practical experience in fundamentals of construction. They have had some work in concrete and brick laying. With each project they are given the opportunity to figure materials and cost. Effort is being made to prepare them as well as time and experience will permit, to enter the construction field. . Further education is en: couraged, but, some boys in the past have taken the union test and have entered the apprentice program at the second year level. The project sheds, like the one accompanying this story, are' 8 ft. by 10 ft. and will be ready for delivery within the next few weeks. They will sell for $300. Interested persons should contact Dee Wilcken at the High School or at his home. They can be seen in the basement of the High School between 1:45 and 3:30 p.m. weekdays. |
