Show ENOCH AND MIDVALLEY By Veda Matheson Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Jones went to Provo on Sunday to see their new grandson, born to Ronald and Linda Storrs. DeVon returned on Sunday evening but Venita stayed for a few days to help out. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Matheson were in Salt Lake the fore part of the week for LaMar to have a check up from his doctors. We have had many people with flu and two babies have been hospitalized with pneumonia. The Alan DeMille's baby was in the hospital for a few days and little Preston, son of Mr and Mrs. Gerry Maxwell is still there. Mrs. Rachel Jones was well enough to come home late last week. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Jones were in Salt Lake over the weekend. Bishop and Mrs. Ivan Matheson were in St. George the latter part of last week attending meetings of the Convention of State Organization of County Officials. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Wilcken and Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Grimshaw became grandparents again with the birth of a baby girl to Jay and Louise Wilcken. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Wilcken and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Nelson hosted a party at the Wilcken home on Saturday evening. The evening being the birthday celebration for Dick Nelson. Dick is one of those people who have a birthday only on Leap Year. The Nelsons are former Midvalley residents and now live in St. George. Others from out of town i who joined the many friends in this area, were Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson of St. George and Mr. and . Mrs. . Earl Murie of Hurricane. Worth Grimshaw was in Salt Lake on business the latter part of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Nelson of St. George also became grandparents grand-parents again when their daughter and son-in-law Thomas and Rhea Deardon became first time parents. ; 5 ' |
