Show Boyd Adams named Chairman of Cedar City Youth Council WW Boyd Adams has been named Chairman of the Cedar City Youth Council, according to Earl Hansen, Chairman of the Coordinating Council. He will succeed Brent Bulloch who has served for the past three years. Mr. Adams was born and raised in Cedar City. He attended school here, graduated from Cedar High School and attended SUSC for two years. He received a B.S. degree in Physical ' Education and public health ' from Utah State University in Logan and was the recipient of several athletic scholarships. He received an M.S. degree from Brigham Young University and will receive a PHD this Spring from University of Utah in Health Science and Educational Administration. His professional career began in Kanab where he served as ' coach at the High School. He then came back to Cedar to coach at SUSC. He also taught athletics and coached at University of Nevada at Las Vegas. At the present time Mr. Adams is Deputy Director, Administrator, Ad-ministrator, Specialist in Health Education at So. Utah District Health Department. He married Jaine Seegmiller of this city. He is extremely interested in young people and is well known for his contributions to the youth of this area. BOYD ADAMS The Youth Council is a working committee of the Cedar City Coordinating Council that seeks to coordinate activities and work with problem areas of our young people. They have dealt with such areas as tobacco and liquor, the drug problem, pornography, employment needs of the young people, etc. In making the announcement, Mr. Hansen said that Mr. Adams is extremely well qualified by training and experience to lead this committee. The appointment i Is for a three year period. |
