Show SU faculty members take leave of absence to further education Leaves of absence for six Southern Utah State College faculty members were approved by members of the SUSC Institutional In-stitutional Council in their February meeting. Institutional Council members voted their approval "as subject to availability of replacements and funding" for the six faculty members to further their educational endeavors during the 1976-77 school year. Previous to Council action, the leaves of absence had been approved by SUSC President Royden C. Braithwaite. Faculty members receiving approval of the Council included: - Leslie N. Jones, assistant professor of psychology, will take sabbatical leave fall quarter to work on his doctoral degree at Brigham Young-University. - E. DeVon Deppe, assistant professor of accountingr will continue, without pay, to attend Brigham Young University Law School for another year. -- Kathryn Berg, assistant professor of physical education and assistant intramural director, will take a year's sabbatical to work on her doctoral doc-toral degree at the University of Utah. -- Morgan J. Williams, assistant professor of sociology, will take sabbatical leave fall quarter to work on his doctoral degree at the University of Utah. - Sharon C. Leigh, assistant professor of library science, will take sabbatical leave fall and winter quarters for continued study at Brigham Young University. - J. Paul Vorkenk, coordinator of secondary education, professor of education, will take sabbatical leave fall quarter for post-doctoral work at the University of Florida. |
