LOOKING BACK Did you know-That know-That as a citizen, as a booster and as a builder of Cedar City, every citizen should patronize their home town merchants. People who take pride in our fair city should buy at home! SO years ago The Ilotary Club met and very excellent talks were given by Hunter Lunt and E. H. Stevenson on Rotary education. Mr. Lunt spoke on the "values of boosting your own community and sup- porting local enterprises." Mr. Stevenson spoke on "Friendship" emphasizing that fact that much could be accomplished through friendship especially as the same is promoted and developed within the Rotary Club. 25 years ago An earth tremor was reported in Kanab. Several calls from Kanab were received by the local CAA office. The barograph machines at both the Milford and Bryce Canyon CAA stations also had a decided reaction at the time of the reported tremor. Also the Cedar High Redmen won the District Hoop title to gain berth in the State Tournament. 1 10 years ago ' Dr. McRay Cloward, chairman of the Division of Continuing Education and Special Programs at SUSC, was appointed to serve on a special committee to assist in the planning of education in Utah. At the request of Gov. Calvin L. Rampton, the Utah Coordinating Council of Higher Education prepared a master plan for the orderly development of higher education in the state during the next ten years. By Dorothy Rogers
