Show SUMMIT NEWS NOTES I gram were presented with gifts. A delicious luncheon followed and was prepared by Mary Dal-ley, Dal-ley, Minnie Dalley, Violet Hulet, Alice Walker and La Rue White and was served on attractive tables decorated by Ruth Dalley. Special guests were president and Mrs. Howard D. Knight and the Parowan Stake Relief Society presidency, Alice Mitchell, Berta L-alton and Ruby Orton. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fife and son 1 Gillman were in Salt Lake City recently for an overnight stay with a daughter, Mrs. Mack Rider. Ri-der. Mr. and Mrs. Don White of Mesquite, Nev. visited here over the week end. Mrs. Jay Davnport enjoyed a visit on Thursday of last week from her father-in-law. William T. Davenport of Paragonah and ' a nephew, Eugene Hanson and his fiancee Miss Linda Gardner, ! both of Salt Lake City. Miss Sheila Robb of Cedar City visited here Sunday with Miss Kathleen Dalley. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Dalley of Cedar City were Sunday visitors, at the home of a nephew, Herbert Her-bert White and family. Mr. and Mrs. Conley Adams and children Lynette, Brent, Sandra San-dra and Curtis of Hunter, Utah,! arrived here Friday for a four dayj stay with Mrs. Adams' family, the Jack Farrows. Mrs. Hulda Peterson returned home Saturday after spending the winter months in Washington, Washing-ton, Utah. Her son Ivan Witt-wer Witt-wer of that city brought her home. Bertrand Dalley and daughter, Mary Beth traveled to St. George and back again Sunday. They went to take Mrs. Dalley down to spend a week or two with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mrs. Donna Davenport The annual Relief Society birthday celebration was held at the church here last Thursday morning, beginning with a very fine program prepared and directed di-rected by president Mary G. Dalley, Dal-ley, who projected pictures on a screen and used appropriate' recorded music done by the singing sing-ing mothers from this region, to go with each of the speaking parts. Mrs. Minnie Dalley presented Mrs. Sylva Stapley with a beautiful beau-tiful Relief Society pin for her, years of service in the music department. de-partment. Mrs. Cora Dalley and' Mrs. Ella Laurence and also stake president Howard D. ' Knight, who portrayed the prophet pro-phet Joseph Smith in the pro- Hulet. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hulet and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hulet were in Cedar City Monday evening of last week to attend the Tri-Val-ley Organization Banquet a CSU. |
