Show LDS Institute at CSU To Sponsor Spring Lecture Series The LDS Institute of Religion at College of Southern Utah is sponsoring a series of lectures to be presented during Spring Quar-ter Quar-ter and to which the public has been invited to attend. The lecture series will be held each Thursday evening at 5 p. m. in the LDS Institute of Religion Chapel beginning this evening, March 24 and continuing through May 19. First of the series will be a presentation by Leland Gentry, Ph.D. Instructor at the Institute on "The Brocchus-Young Contro-versey." Contro-versey." On March 31 George Strebel, Ph.D., Instructor at the Institute will broach the subject "And They Shall Blossom as the Desert." Des-ert." "The Church the Gentile Nation Na-tion and the American Indian," will be the title of the lecture April 7 by C. Ward Despain, associate as-sociate director of the St. George Institute and on April 14, W. Craig Jones of the CSU political science division, will lecture on "Bridging the Political Gap Washington, D. C. and the Mormons." Mor-mons." Other lectures will he given by Boyd Beagley, coordinator of seminaries; Oscar J. Hulet, Patriarch Pa-triarch of the Parowan Stake; Leonard Witt, Instructor of Sociology Soci-ology at CSU; Hal Garlner, principal prin-cipal of the Cedar North Seminary, Semi-nary, and A. Gary Anderson, director di-rector of the St. George Institute. |
