The cost of the temporary and day use permits pertain only to those persons 16 years of age or above including those who enter the Park by common carrier, such as chartered and commercial buses. Land and Water Fund Receipts from the sale of the $7 annual permit and short term entry permits will go into the Land and Water Conservation Fund, together with receipts from other sources. Sixty per cent of the fund will be available on a matching basis to states, counties, coun-ties, and municipalities for plan-1 ning, acquiring, and developing' new outdoor recreation areas, subject to Congressional appropriation. appro-priation. The remaining 40 per cent will be made available to Federal agencies such as the National Na-tional Park Service and the U. S. Forest Service among others throughout the country for acquisition ac-quisition of additional outdoor recreation areas for public use. |
