Show Junior Bowling Assn. Organized For Boys, Girls Leagues I In order that boys and girls between be-tween the ages of 8 and 18 years, who are interested in the sport of bowling, can be sanctioned nationally, na-tionally, a Junior Bowling Association Asso-ciation has been formed in Cedar City. The Board of Directors for the newly lorined Association elected Floyd Evans as president. He will be assisted by two other members mem-bers of the Iron County Men's Bowling Association, three members mem-bers of the Cedar City Women's Bowling Association, a represen-1 tative Irom the Cedar City High School and a representative from the Cedar Bowling Lanes. Directors Direc-tors will be apointed or elected from the members in each of the Junior Leagues formed and they will sit in any meetings that the Board of Directors hold and will have a voice in such meetings. A charter will be given to the local association by the American Junior Bowling Congress and each of the junior members will receive a membership in the National Na-tional Association. Certain considerations and privileges will be given all members mem-bers of the Cedar City Junior Bowling Association, who are members in good standing. One of the privileges will be a reduction reduc-tion in the cost of bowling. There are certain rules and regulations that junior bowling members must observe to maintain their "good standing membership." Tnese will be explained to them at the time their leagues are organized. or-ganized. At the present time the following follow-ing leagues are being organized: "All-Girls League", to bowl each Friday at 6:30 p. m. This league is open to girls 11 to 17, inclusive. "Bantam League" for boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 12, will bowl two games only each Saturday at 4 p. m. Before bowling the two games in this league there will be a half hour instruction period given by adult supervisors. This league lasts about two hours and the cost to the junior bowler will be 80c for the two games and instruction period. "Senior Boys League", will bowl at 6 p. m. each Saturday and there is room for only two more teams in this league. Ages for the league is 15 to 18 years, inclusive. The cost of bowling in the All-Girls All-Girls League and the Senior Boys League will be $1.00 for the1 three games bowled each week. , |
