Show 1966 Baseball Season fit High School Opens Friday, Apr. 1 Baseball Coach Charles Brink-erhoff Brink-erhoff has issued a call for base- ball practice at the Parowan High School and hopes that the weather will take a change for the better so the boys can get outside for regular practice sessions ses-sions this week. Parowan High will be the only I school in the Millard Division of! Region Eight to participate in the baseball activity, and will joiu with Cedar, Hurricane, Dix-i?, Dix-i?, Enterprise and , Kanab High schools of the Dixie division,' to; form a six-team league. , . With six teams playing, the schedule calls for each team to play the others once, or each to have five games unlss practice games can be arranged. This year the schedule calls for the Rams to , play three gams at home and two away., Games for the Rams are as follows: First game, Friday, April 1, Hurricane at Parowan, Friday, April 8, Enterprise at Parowan; Friday, April 15, Parowan at Cedar; Ce-dar; Friday, April 22, Kanab at Parowan, and Friday, April 29. Parowan at Dixie. Brinkerhoff states that all will be afternoon games with tentative starting time set for 2:30 p. m. for home games. Among the members of last years baseball team who are out for this year's squad are Scott Potter, Mike Adams, Johnny John-ny Guffey, Jerald Davenport, Larry Lar-ry Topham, Hal Wasden. Glen Robinson and Ramon Banks. All were regulars or semi-regulars. A number of juniors and sophomores sopho-mores are prospective candidates for this year's team. |
