Show Capt. Ruth Dalton Dies in Paris Hospital PARAGONAH Mr and Mrs. J. L. Dalton received sad news of the death of their daughter, Captain Ruth Dalton on Thursday Thurs-day of last week. Miss Dalton passed away it i II. S, Army hospital In Paris, France. She had been on foreign duty with the Army Nurse Corps for more than a year. Ruth Dorothy Dalton was born in Beaver, Mar. 24, 1917, a daughter of J. L. and Nellie Reese Dalton. She attended Para-gonah Para-gonah schools and the Parowan High School. - She received her nurse's training at the Holy Cross Hospital In Salt-Lake City. She enlisted In the service at the outbreak of World Ward II and served for a time In Ireland. She was transferred to France where she was wounded on D-Day. D-Day. During the Korean War she served In both Japan and Korea. She also had some duty on board ships. In the United States she was stationed at many places, once in Georgia, and for a time at Valley Forge, Pa. She received psychiatric training train-ing in Texas and served In that line of duty for some time. Previous Prev-ious to this last foreign tour of duty she was stationed at Camp Erwin, Calif. She was a dedicated dedi-cated nurse and her untimely passing brings to an end an outstanding out-standing career of service to humanity." hu-manity." . Survivors Include her parents, an aged grandmother, Mrs. Mary Ann Reese, and the following sister and brothers: Mrs. Mary Ortner, Vellejo, Calif.; Willard, Salt Lake City; Jack, David and William Dalton, all of Paragon-ah.
