Show Broadway Musical In Final Stages of Rehearsal Huremin', whlstlin' and sing- in' of a number of hit tunes seems to be the campus rage at College of Southern Utah as "Bells Are Ringing" hits a homestretch home-stretch production schedule. The third major production at CSU this year promises to be "the highlight according to theater workshop personnel. The large cast of 49 and an orchestra of 20 pieces are in dai ly practice sessions to put the polish on the Broadway comedy hit written especially for star Judy Holllday. Leading roles will be portrayed by Lyona Cox as Ella and Frank Wilcox as Jeff Moss. Miss Cox is a Junior student at CSU and Mr. Wilcox is a- teacher at Cedar Ce-dar Junior High School. The story In song and dance Is told of Ella, the do-gooder, employed in a phone answering service owned by her cousin Sue (Carol Lou Munford). Ella is constantly in difficulty while trying to help some of her clients., cli-ents., to to solve personal problems. prob-lems. Several comedy situations develop as the two ladies become be-come involved in the problems of Sandor, the bookie (Owen Roundy). Eleven different sets and the lilting music to about 12 popular song hits add to some very enjoyable en-joyable entertainment the evenings eve-nings of May 4, 5 and 6 at the College of Southern Utah sudi-torlum sudi-torlum under the able guidance of Director Fred C Adams. |
