Show Quarterly Conference Program Announced for Stake President Howard D. Knight of Parowan Stake announces that the regular quarterly conference of the stake has been set for Saturday and Sunday, April 30 and May L with two important meetings to be held Saturday and two general sessions and the MIA session on Sunday. Pres. Knight announces that there will be no general church authority at this conference but that fine programs are being arranged ar-ranged for all sessions of the conference. The first meetirfg will be held on Saturday at 6:30 p. m. and letters have gone out from the stake presidency to all those who are expected to be In attendance attend-ance at this meeting At this time there will be a check-up made to ascertain the prcrress being made in the program which was presented at the las quarterly conference. The second meeting of the conference con-ference will be for all fathers and mothers of the stake and it will be held at 8 p. m. Saturday. It is designed to be a gathering in which the stake authorities may talk frankly to parents about their children, their . home and family life, and means of. so organizing or-ganizing our family activities as to fortify our children against youth problems. As a part of this meeting, there will be transcribed talks by J. Edgar Hoover of the Federal Feder-al Bureau of. Investigation, and Pres. J. Reuben Clark, Jr. The Sunday general sessions are set for 10 a. m. and 2 p. m. and will be held in the Third Ward chapel. Special music for the morning session will be furnished fur-nished by the Singing Mothers of the Stake. The afternoon session will be a special youth meeting. It will be a follow up on the Saturday Sat-urday night meeting for the mothers mo-thers and fathers. Special music for this meeting will be furnished furnish-ed by the Stake Youth Chorus. |
