Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING By Nolo Kupfer Mrs. Will Jones entertained the Wel-Ak-Avl Club ladies at her . her home on Thursday ni last week. In charge of the program pro-gram was Mrs. M. A. Cowley, who introduced her brother, Professor Pro-fessor V. R. Magleby, whom she had Invited as guest speaker foi the afternoon. The party under the leadership of Dr. Cluff made the journey to South America to find further verification of the truth of the Book of Mormon. The ladies lad-ies and their guests for the afternoon af-ternoon found the adventures of the party very interesting and enlightening. Following the review re-view by Prof. Magleby, the hostess host-ess served light refreshments. The home of Mrs. Hazen Coo-ley Coo-ley was the scene on Wednesday for the meeting of the Chere Amies. Invited as guest for the evening was Mrs. C. B. Cooley. Mrs. Hilda Parry introduced her son, James E. Parry, who recent-ly recent-ly returned from an L D S mission mis-sion to the Eastern States. During Dur-ing the evening Mr. Parry very capably presented to the ladies the new missionary plan for proselyting In the mission fields of the church. All of those present pres-ent found the program as presented pre-sented by Mr. Parry very informative inform-ative and worthwhile. Entertaining her bridge club on Monday was Mrs. Conway Parry. Following a delicious refreshment re-freshment the ladies enjoyed playing bridge with prizes being given to Mrs. Carl Croft and Mrs. .John Rowberry. Guests for the evening were Mrs. Kay Wilkes, Mrs. Florine Major, Mrs. Vern Kupfer and Mrs. Carl Croft. The ladies of the Belva Zimns Club entertained their partners last Thursday at a pot luck dinner din-ner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel M. Jones. Following the dinner, the group enjoyed playing games and visiting. Chairman for the evening was Mrs. Jones. Assisting her were Mrs. Rulon Wood, Mrs. Austin Hevwood and Mrs. Joseph Bet-tridge. |
