Show Sarah Goddard Dies; Funeral Services Held Thurs, Funeral services are being held In the First Ward chapel this afternoon for Sarah Ann Lambeth Goddard, 81, who died at her home Saturday following a heart attack. Although she had not been feeling well for a few days she had been considered in good health until the attack which claimed her life. Mrs. Goddard was born in Cedar Ce-dar City on Jan. 17, 1877, a daughter of Richurd and Jane Newcomb Lambctn, and had lived here all her life. On Nov. 6, 1895 she married George Clarence Clar-ence Goddard. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Frank Goddard, Cedar City; Richard Goddard, Prescott, Ariz., and Mrs. Mary Bywater, Rogue River, Ore. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. ton spent Sunday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Williams. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Stapley of Toquerville also visited at the Williams home. Mrs. Ina Cottam of Chicago visited here with her sister and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Da-vies. Da-vies. She accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Davies to California to attend at-tend a wedding of a nephew and to see their brother, Clemont Gubler. who was seriously ill. While there Mr. Gubler passed away. Ivan returned but the girls it-mained there for the funeral. Mrs. Elda Fife and daughter of Summit and Marva Prince and children of New Harmony visited visit-ed with their mother, Hannah Davis. |
