Show Redmen Conclude Season With Win Over Wolves The Cedar City Redmen continued contin-ued their winning ways Friday evening by defeating Enterprise , to the tune of 76 to 52 to finish ,out the 1958 basketball league play. The win gave the Redmen a league record of six wins and two losses. For Enterprise it was the eighth loss In as many starts. The two clubs battled on nearly near-ly even terms during the first half of play with an intermission intermis-sion score of 32 to 30 for the I Redmen. In the third quarter the Red-men Red-men surged into convincing lead that left the outcome in little doubt midway into the third per-,lod. per-,lod. I Both clubs tanked 12 points in the first period and Cedar added ad-ded 20 in the second. Enterprise Enter-prise nearly kept up to the pace with 18 points of its own. Van Chambers of Enterprise was ?he big Instrument for the Wolves in the second perlwu with 12 counters to his credit in the eight minutes of play. He totaled 21 for the evening. High scorer for the game, how. ever, was Boyd Dover of the Red-men Red-men who tanked 25 points to end the league season witn a 17.3 point per game average. This effort gave him the scoring title for the season in the Dixie Division of Reeion 10 play. Only four other high school players held higher averages for the season. sea-son. In the third period of play the Redmen ran away from the wolves. Neil Petty scored six, Sheldon Bowler added two, Dover, had four as did Travis Nelson ; and Eric Gardner hit for five and I Weston Kittfhen added two for. a total of 21 in the period. En- terprlse hit for only seven points In the period and Chambers ad-, ded only a single point in the! period. Fourth period was more of the, same as the Redmen continued their scoring spree at a 70 shooting average in the second half. The Redmen hit a credit-1 able 47 per cent In the first half of play with 14 field goals In 32 tries. Enterprise hit 30 with 40 attempts and 12 connections.
