Parowan should feel a certain amount of pride at the report of the last "blood drive." Parowan was the leading community in Iron County on a per capita basis. ba-sis. Considering the inconvenient hours that the bloodmobile was in town (1 to 3 p. m.) plus the fact that most families were stricken with the flu. we still came out ahead according to the report. But, that was on a per capita basis only. Our quota was rr oints and we donated only 16. This was a far crv from our goal. One thing that must be kept in mind is that in the past the people peo-ple of Parowan have used more' blood from the "blood bank" than we have contributed, thej report states. Many people hesitate to pledge themselves because of a fear of the discomfort Involved. It -ho'-ld be understood that there is very little pain Knd that every necessary precaution is taken for th- individual's health.
