P. O. E. Lodge No. 1556 and College of Southern South-ern Utah athletic department boxing card slated for Thursday, July 3 at the CSU fieldhouse. Hoyt will be matched against Drew "Andy" "An-dy" Jackson of Montgomery, Ala., in a 10-rounder 10-rounder that should show plenty of action. Hoyt in his latest outing in a recent card in Kanab, showed some of the boxing form that he became famous for on an inter-mountain inter-mountain area basis. Another Cedar City man, Armand Ca-dol, Ca-dol, member of the Cedar City Police department, de-partment, will meet another Alabama contender con-tender in Jimmy Lewis in the semi-main event. This bout is scheduled for six rounds. Frank Landis of Kanab will meet Keith Eoff of Salt Lake City in another six-rounder six-rounder and Wendel Heaton, also of Kanab and a former stulent at CSU, will meet "eternal" Joe Bushhead of Shivwits Indian Reservation in a four rou.ider. Curtain raiser will be a three-round battle bat-tle pitting Cedar against Kanab in the younger set. Card is scheduled to get under way at 8:30 p. m. Admission prices have been set at $1.75 for ringside, $1.25 general admission, 75 cents for students and 25 cents for children chil-dren under 12 years of age. The event is the first of a series of activities acti-vities planned for southern Utah residents to celebrate Independence Day. |
