Show Three New Businesses Open Doors; Receive Enthusiastic Local Response If -there is any tendency to-j ward slackening of business throughout the nation, it is going go-ing unheeded In Cedar City. During the past week three new establishments opened their doors to the public in Cedar City ( and all three indicate that the: response of the southern Utah citizens to the enterprises was most gratifying. Openings were held by Hugh's Cafe located at 112 North Main in the building formerly occupied occu-pied by Far East Cafe; Borrett's Music Company, at 78 West Harding Avenue, atid the Gold Strike Redemption Center, next door at 76 West Harding Ave. Hugh Cheever, manager of Hugh's Cafe, announced that he will be open for business from 6 a. m. until midnight each day and will feature "good food." Hugh will serve breakfasts, dinners din-ners and lunches in addition to carrying his famous line of pies. Although he will discontinue discon-tinue distribution of pies to other oth-er outlets they will be available at his new location and special I orders will be accepted. Heed Berrett, in opening his place of business, pointed out that it is the only music store strictly devoted to music any- ' where in southern Utah. I Reed has previously been handling just organs and pianos. I He has added to this all lines of "things musical." He will carry all types of instruments for bands, and orchestras, accordions, guitars and accessories for instruments in-struments such as reeds and strings, lyres, mutes, etc. In addition ad-dition he will carry hi-fi sets and will be stocked in records, sheet music, batons and many other items. Mrs. Theo Corry, manager, the Gold Strike Stamp Redemption Center opened on Thursday, June 19, indicated that the response to the center has been tremendous. tremen-dous. The redemption center will not handle cash sales but will redeem Gold Strike Stamps only.
