Show SOCIAL SWING . Mr. and Mrs. George A. Wood returned last week from a visit with their daughter and family Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Blnnie at Menlo Park, Calif. While there they participated In birthday festivities fes-tivities given In honor of their daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Wood jnade the trip to Southern California Cali-fornia via Lake Tahoe md the other scenic lakes and resort areas of the Si?r;a Nevada route to the coast. Finding the route to Yosemite closed the travelers rescheduled their trip via Carson City which they found most Interesting. In-teresting. Arriving in San Francisco Francis-co they enjoyed sight seeing, one interesting stop on the tour was the Cow Palace at which they enjoyed en-joyed an evening of entertainment. entertain-ment. Having found snow over much of the Sierra Nevada drive, the warm climate of Bakersfield and points South as they traveled travel-ed to Menlo Park were very inviting. in-viting. Star Valley, Wyoming was the destination of Mr. and Mrs. Kay Wilkes and children as they left Cedar City last Thursday. The family planned visits in Salt Lake and Ogden with Mrs. Wilkes parents before moving on to Wyo. where they will visit at the ranch of Mr. Wilkes" parents. par-ents. Following a three week vacation va-cation the family will return home. Visitors from Heilbronn, West Germany were at the C. Leland Dalley home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Pullmann, with whom their son lived while in Germany, attended at-tended church followed by a fam-My fam-My dinner with the Dalleys. They later .visited in Summit with the family before returning to Salt Lake City where they have recently re-cently located. Visiting with Mrs. Maxine Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mathews is Mrs. McNeil Mathews and daughter of Norwalk, Calif. Mrs. Mathews, the former Valene Adams, will be joined In two weeks by her husband, who will also enjoy a short vacation In Cedar City before the family returns re-turns to their home. Los Angeles, Calif., is the headquarters head-quarters for Jackie Winterrose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R, E. Winterrose, during the summer months. Miss Winterrose will spend the vacation from school working and taking special dance instruction in the Southern California Cal-ifornia locality. Visiting at the Eugene T. Woolf home for a few days this week were Mr. Wolf's parejits, Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Woolf a nephew and niece, Dennis and Kathy Woolf of Salt Lake City, and Di-anna Di-anna Woolf of Texas. A visit at the family ranch west of Delta was enjoyed prior to arriving in Cedar City. While here, the family fam-ily was entertained with sightseeing sight-seeing trips around the area. |
