Show PREMIUM BOOK REVISED County Fair Committees Organized Flans are well under way for this year's Iron County Fair to be held In Parowan on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Labor Day, Aug. 30, 31 and Sept. 1, It is announced an-nounced by D. The premium list for this year's fair has been completely revised revis-ed by the committee and all of the copy is now in the hands of the printer, with the book to be out and ready for distribution early In July. The book will be sent out to all sections of the county and prospective exhibitors exhibit-ors are urged to watch for and prepare to enter exhibits in this year's exhibition. This year's Iron County Fair will be divided into five main divisions di-visions Including homemaking, agricultural, arts and crafts, 4-H Club and flowers. Each department depart-ment will have a supervisor who will choose his or her own assistants. assist-ants. The homemaklng department will be supervisd by Katherine Thornton with Cora Hulet as her principal assistant. In this department de-partment will be several sub-divisions. They will be home sewing sew-ing with Sarah Dean Smith as supervisor; handwork with Phoebe Phoe-be Taylor as supervisor; quilts, bedspreads and rugs, Cora Ward supervisor; children's division, Edna Brown supervisor; canning and baking, with Mrs. Fred Top-had, Top-had, supervisor; re-upholstery division, di-vision, with Bertrude Mitchell, supervisor; infants and Junior division, di-vision, Louise Stubbs, supervisor, and handwork for people over 70 with Pearl Russell as supervisor. super-visor. On Monday, Mon-day, Labor Day, the big annual parade will be held. The Miss Iron County contest will precede the fair to choose a queen and attendants to reign over the annual an-nual fall event. |
