Show 'CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING i LaRee Urie has enjoyed visiting visit-ing at the home of her grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Urie during the past week: On the week end she will be joined , by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doe Urie of Salt Lake. They will en-Joy en-Joy a week's visit in Cedar City visiting family and friends be- , fore returning home. I Petite Janice Robb. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Robb, returned return-ed this week from a stay in Salt Lake City. While the guest of Mr. and Mrs. James Robb, she enjoy-ed enjoy-ed the visiting of the city's landmarks land-marks and the schedule of entertainment en-tertainment provided by her hosts. The En Amities Club was entertained en-tertained on Thursday at the home of Mrs. Burrus Barton. The afternoon was enjoyed by playing play-ing canasta with high score prizes priz-es won by Mrs. Leland Heywood, and Mrs. Hillman Dalley. Highlight High-light of the afternoon came as the hostess surprised the group t by arranging for an informal pic-. pic-. ture to be taken as a keep sake (of the friendships enjoyed and the good times spent together over the past years. Following j these activities an attractive ( luncheon was served by Mrs. Barton. Mrs. Dn Rogers, MSgt. and Mrs. Pratt Smith traveled to Al- buquerque, N. M. two weeks ago. There Mrs. Smith bid farewell to her husband as he headed for the East Coast and a tour of duty in Germany. Mrs. Rogers and her daughter traveled on to Beaumont, Beau-mont, Texas where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Leron Miller and two children. Mrs. Miller, the former Norma Edwards, and two boys, returned to Cedar City as her mother and sister returned home. She will spend a month renewing friendships and enjoying en-joying the family. Mrs. Smith will remain In Cedar City until fall at which time she and son, Larry will travel to Frankfurst, Germany to jont Sgt. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. G. D. McGarry and son Kenly took two werks. vacation recently to visit wKfti their children and families. Pint stopping in Provo they visited I Mr. and Mrs. Larry K. McCarrr I after which Mr. and Mrs. David ( G. Roberts were seen. Following j these two pleasant stopovers ( they headed west to Reno, then onto the coast where they traveled trav-eled the coast highway to Santa San-ta Monica, Calif. Awaiting then-arrival then-arrival were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth J. Jensen and their children. chil-dren. While at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, they were entertained at parties civ-en civ-en by family members in Ingle-wood, Ingle-wood, Arcadia and Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Quinn Jones paid a surprise visit to Mr. Jones' parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Erastus Jaws last Friday. With them came Randy and Sherry. A short fara- ily reunion was enjoyed with their parents, brothers. York and Larry and families before they continued on to Richfield and Salt Lake City for other family reunions. They planned to n-tum to their home in Corona, Calif, via the northern route. |
