Show CUT WEDDING CAKE. Mr. and Mrs. Vcrlin D. Gardiner, I who exchanged marriage vows in St. George Temple Sat-J urday, June 21, and were honored at reception same eve-' ning. Bride is former Miss Eva Dene Pryor. i Verlin D. Gardiner Claims Eva Dene Pryor In Vows Recited in St. George LDS Temple Miss Eva Dene Pryor became' the bride of Verlin D. Gardiner in a double ring ceremony per- formed in the St. George LDS Temple with President Harold S. Snow officiating. Ceremony was performed on Saturday, June 21. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Evan J. Pryor of Cedar City and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis W. Gardiner Gardi-ner of Vernal, Utah. After the ceremony the couple was honored at a buffet luncheon lunch-eon by the bride's parents at their home. In the evening the couple greeted guests at a reception ot the L D S Institute of Religion. The bride wore a floor length gown with a fitted bodice of silk taffeta with atiered skirt of nylon ny-lon net edged with chantilly lace over tafeta. Her matching finger fin-ger tipped veil of nylon net was ornamented with rose buds and seed pearls. The bride carried a white orchid or-chid surrounded by pink rosebuds. rose-buds. Attending the bride were Miss Alice Ann Pryor as maid of honor; Mrs. Pat Imlay, Miss Opal P,auer. Miss Claudin Cowan and Miss Sharon Nelson as bridesmaids. brides-maids. Kathryn Pryor and Charlene Burton stood as flowers girls. The girls were dressed In Identical Identi-cal pink and white sheaths with contrasting cummerbunds. Flower girls were dressed in pink and blue nylon net. Arthur Pryor assumed duties of best man. Miss Patsy Lampman was in charge of the guest register with Mra Rarhnra Meoks. Shirleen Slack. Miss Marilyn Bladen In the gift room. Ray Moon, Harry Pryor and Robert Childs assisted as ushers. Assisting in serving were Miss Betty Jo Bauer. Miss Jerrolyn Gurr and Miss Mary Esplin. I The bride is a graduate of the College of Southern Utah and of Utah State University and has been teaching the past winter in the Uintah School District. The groom attended Utah State University for two years where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He spent two years with the U. S. Army at Ft. Lewis, Wash., after which he ful-filled ful-filled a mission for the LDS Ch irch in the East Central States ' mission j The bride chose a going away, outfit of navy blue with matching match-ing accessories. After a honeymoon through California, Oregon and Washing-1 ty they will be at home in Ver-J nal until fall when the new Mrs. Gardiner will teach in Spring-ville Spring-ville and Mr. Gardiner will enroll en-roll at the B Y U in Provo. Accompanying them to the tempi were the parents of both bri'li; and croorrf, Mr. and Mrs.l Lloyd Pryor of Salt Lake City, Ray Moon of Craig, Colo.; Mr.; and Mrs Millard Halterman of Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jones of Enterprise. |
